FAQs
Can my attorney get involved or use the film in court?
1
While you are free to share your finished project with your legal team, we explicitly do not produce documentaries for the purpose of active courtroom situations or ongoing trials. Coordinating media campaigns during active litigation introduces massive legal risks; witness statements can be picking apart by opposing corporate lawyers, and your raw investigative footage could be subpoenaed by a judge, potentially compromising your path to justice.
Because of these entanglements, we strongly recommend that you come to Afterlife Films after your lawsuits and cases are completely finalized. We specialize in stepping in when legal systems has failed, or when you are deeply unsatisfied with the final court results. By taking on your case after the legal dust settles, we safely give your truth a second life in the court of public opinion, using high-impact public awareness to force the lasting corporate policy changes and institutional apologies that courtrooms simply cannot provide.
Why is our minimum budget for a production?
2
While we do maintain a baseline project minimum, every documentary and client cause is completely unique. Our rates account for travel logistics, camera equipment, team compensation, independent investigation, research, and film permits. During our initial Zoom consultation, we’ll map out a clear, custom blueprint based on your specific goals and what you need from us, and we'll lock in an agreed-upon budget
However, we selectively make exceptions for extraordinary social justice cases that demand immediate public exposure.
Our studio remains the most accessible, high impact agency in the country. Our baseline model delivers narrative shields at a fraction of standard industry costs.
The ideal case for our studio involves an urgent systemic, ethical, or social issue where conventional avenues have failed, and public exposure is the only remaining line of defense. We look for compelling, high stakes narratives backed by baseline evidence such as smartphone recordings, written corporate complaints, official records, or credible eyewitness testimonies.
Our absolute bread and butter includes:
Severe Commercial Discrimination: High stakes racial profiling or civil rights violations by prominent corporate or hospitality entities.
Gross Corporate Negligence: Incidents where corporate recklessness causes profound personal loss on private property, followed by an institutional cover up.
Systemic Social Injustice: Broad community threats, such as rapid gentrification quietly pricing out families and destroying historical neighborhood landmarks.
Animal & Environmental Advocacy: Exposing severe ecological misconduct or the ethical challenges of animals held in captivity.
The ultimate requirement is an eager client who is ready to deploy a media campaign to force a corporate policy shift, pressure a local council to pass a law, or demand a public institutional apology.

What is the perfect case profile for an Afterlife Films production?
Is Afterlife Films a freelance studio or a work-for-hire video vendor?
Absolutely not. Afterlife Films is a premium, independent investigative media and strategic public relations agency. We do not operate on a freelance, work-for-hire model, nor do we sell camera labor by the hour. You are not hiring a casual videographer; you are investing in a custom, calculated narrative shield to force corporate policy shifts, pass council laws, extract institutional apologies, or make your message or concerns amplified to the public.
